Meredith, Great job on your animation! I really think that your actions are clearly animated and really define your actions well. Besides all the jumpiness that goes on throughout I think that you did a good job at executing these verbs in a digital realm. I know that you were originally doing hand drawn stuff, but you decided to work digitally which was probablly the best bet given the time parameters. I think that your transitions work nicely and are not overpowering your actions so good job there! I kind of get confused when the typeface is changing when you move to the last action, Im just wondering why the typeface change was needed. But I guess it fits well with your second action of glob so I dunno. I really like the way the you squeeze the word paste and it drops the glob but it should probablly go off the screen. The duration of the actions is good but hard to distinguish with it being so choppy. I deffinately think that if it wasn't so jumpy the duration of each action would be better. I think that you are giving each action about the same amount of time except on the last action happens a little quicker than the rest. But overall good job!!! :)
I think your actions are very well represented, though your technical issues do show through. I think, even though you couldn't get your 'tweens to work, using more keyframes would have made it seem less stop-motion-like; more smooth overall. The main problem I see is not necessarily the quality of your motion in general, but the quality (and speed) of motion compared (to other parts of the animation). Your 'tween'd actions are much faster than your other ones, and pull you out of the experience because you get used to the stop-motion quality when it suddenly gets smooth.
Aside, your "glob" and "smear" are working quite well. They show the actions very well, and (as far as I can tell) are easily recognizable even if you don't have prior knowledge. Your "adhere" still seems to be missing something, which I think would be easily remedied with more fluid motion (more keyframes?).
Your typeface choices are appropriate, not only to your animation in general, but to your actions individually. I think all of this transitioned very well from your storyboards (and original sketches). You seem to have a good grasp on the project objectives (specifically interpreting the principles of 2d design within temporal media).
